Loss of NDIS Funding? We can still help!
We know that the ongoing NDIS changes, cuts and inconsistency are distressing and significantly impact your access to the support you need.
If your funding for a Dietitian has been reduced or removed, we can still provide support through different pathways. This includes Medicare, Private or Self-Funded. We have detailed each option below and are happy to discuss the best option for your individual situation.
1. Medicare Referral
Visit your GP, Paediatrician or Specialist and ask about a:
CCMP Chronic Condition Management Plan (people of any age with an eligible health condition)
M10 Plan for Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder and Disability (people < 25 years old with an eligible diagnosis)
This will give you access to:
5 allied health appointments per year (CCMP)
20 allied health appointments per patient per lifetime (M10)
These appointments can include a Dietitian. If you are already using one of these plans, you need to check with Medicare regarding available visits remaining.
You will need to pay the appointment fee up front. Medicare will then pay you back a rebate of $63.40 (CCMP) or $89.50 (M10). You may receive a higher rebate if you have reached the Medicare Safety Net.
2. Private Health Insurance
Contact your Private Health Insurance company to ask if they provide a rebate for Dietitian services for your level of cover. This will be as part of “Extras”.
You will need to pay the appointment fee up front. You then submit a claim with your insurance company and they will pay you back a rebate.
3. Self-Funded
You do not need a referral, a care plan or insurance to use our service. You can continue to have appointments and pay the fee yourself.
Our Appointment Options and Prices
Appointments are available in clinic (St Morris, St Marys, Pt Noarlunga South) or via telehealth. You can use any options above for Home Visits but additional fees will apply for travel.
