Student Clinic
Our student-led clinic provides clients with a structured nutrition service delivered by student dietitians under the supervision of an Accredited Practising Dietitian.
The clinic is designed to provide students with valuable real-world learning experiences while offering a low cost option for nutrition assessment and education.
This clinic is delivered in partnership with Flinders University. It has both a placement and research component.
Who is eligible for the Student Clinic?
Our students can support people with the following health conditions:

Unintentional weight loss

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Osteoporosis

Diverticulitis

Endometriosis

Type 2 Diabetes

Unfortunately we are unable to support people with more complex or overlapping health conditions.
If your needs fall outside the scope of the clinic, we can connect you with one of the Accredited Practising Dietitians in our team.
What is the structure of the Student Clinic?
Two sessions are provided, one week apart. Each session is 30 minutes long. You will also be invited to participate in a research survey to assist us in understanding your experience of participating in the student clinic.

The Student Clinic will run on a Thursday at St Marys, and a Friday morning at St Morris.

No referral is needed.
Low-cost service: $10
If you require ongoing Dietitian support, we can refer you to one of our Accredited Practising Dietitians.
